Jason Manford has praised the Hall for Cornwall, saying he was over the moon to have performed there.

The comedian said the Truro theatre "didn't disappoint" following its major transformation.

Jason shared a selfie in front of a beaming audience after his gig on Friday.

He posted: "What a long overdue night at Hall for Cornwall and it didn't disappoint.

"It's been closed for so long even pre-pandemic that I didn’t even get to bring my last tour here so was over the moon to get this in.

"Great audience and staff, cracking support as always from Markus Birdman".

The comedian also recorded a special video message to front-of-house staff member Polly for helping to sort out his dressing room wish-list, known as a rider.

Jason said his only "diva demand" is a comfy chair, and praised Polly for bringing one in from home!

He said: "It's that kind of level, that kind of attention to detail that you get here in Cornwall".
