A string of 'immediate action' flood warnings have been issued as heavy rain hits Cornwall.
The River Hayle from Relubbus to St Erth, the River Cober at Helston and the River Cober at nearby Trenear are all on high alert.
Inrix Traffic and Travel is reporting several road closures in the surrounding areas, including the coach road at Lelant and Treloweth Lane in St Erth.
Sara Louise Martin shared this video from the Tempest roundabout at Lelant, describing the driving conditions as "treacherous".
What is an immediate action flood warning?
A flood warning is issued when flooding is expected and means immediate action is required.
"Flooding is expected today Sunday 31 January. Some high intensity rainfall has passed the area which has pushed river levels past flood warning criteria. River levels remain high as ground is saturated.
"Further intense rainfall is expected throughout the day and rivers are likely to respond. River levels are expected to peak at 5pm.
"Flooding is possible to properties, low lying land and roads close to the river. Take care near the areas of concern and monitor local conditions.
"We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages".
Environment Agency
Flood alerts are also in force for the West Cornwall Rivers and the Upper River Tamar near Bude, as well as the South Cornwall Coast between Lizard Point and Gribbin Head.
The Environment Agency says flooding is expected there between Sunday 31st January and Tuesday 2nd February because of large waves and high spring tides.
On Saturday, Porthleven harbour road was closed as massive swells battered the coast: Read more.
