Nine-hour ice warning for Cornwall as temperatures drop
The Met Office says it may lead to some difficult driving conditions

A nine-hour ice warning has been issued for most of Cornwall as temperatures drop.
The yellow weather alert from the Met Office will be in force from midnight through until 9am on Saturday morning.
It covers most of the Duchy, with the exception of coastal areas and the far west, including the Lizard peninsula.
Forecasters say the ice may lead to some difficult driving conditions and people are being urged to take care.
What to expect
Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
"Showers will mostly die out during Friday evening, with clearing skies allowing temperatures to fall below freezing overnight and ice to form on untreated surfaces."

Tonight:
Dry with clear spells and turning chilly for many, although the chance of the odd shower remains. During the small hours, occasionally heavy showers will cross over western parts. Minimum temperature 0 °C.
Saturday:
A chilly start, then another day of sunshine and showers for most. Rain will push into the region from the east during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Much colder on Sunday with a risk of snow in eastern areas. Very cold on Monday and Tuesday with a few wintry showers and a bitter wind chill.
