Cornwall's Helen Glover has shared an emotional video of the reunion with her children after what has been dubbed the mother of all comebacks at the Olympics.

Three-year-old Logan and twins Kit and Willow can be seen running to hug their mummy at the airport.

The Penzance rower flew home from Tokyo in time for the weekend after just missing out on a medal.

The 35-year-old and partner Polly Swann finished fourth in the women's pairs.

Helen posted the heartwarming family moment on her social media feeds, with the caption "this feeling" and the hashtag "home sweet home".

Helen also tweeted some photos of a family picnic by the river, posting: "Back on the river with the little ones".

Helen, who became the first mum to row for Team GB at an Olympics, had already dedicated her comeback to her children.

Speaking straight after the final race, She told BBC Sport: "They're sometimes up at this time in the morning so they might be watching now.

"I love them so much, they’ve been my inspiration. I never saw myself getting back in a rowing boat until they came along. You can do anything you want to do.

"Trying and failing is not a problem, as long as you try. All the parents who have supported me on the way, thank you for your messages".
