Hawk jets from Cornwall's RNAS Culdrose to make final flight across UK
The veteran aircraft will make a final, final flight around Cornwall next week
Last updated 17th Mar 2022
The Hawk jets of Cornwall's RNAS Culdrose will take to the skies on Thursday, for a farewell flight across the UK.
They have played a significant role in defence for 40 years, playing the role of hostile aircraft or incoming missiles to train ships' companies and Royal Navy fighter controllers in air defence.
Now the base near Helston is preparing to bid farewell to the veteran aircraft.
Four jets from 736 Naval Air Squadron will fly from Cornwall to Prestwick in Scotland, before returning on Friday.
