Grenfell plaque unveiled on Mousehole's 'Grenfell Street'
The new sign honours the 72 people who died, including 18 children, seven years ago
A Grenfell plaque has been unveiled on Mousehole's 'Grenfell Street' to mark seven years on.
The new memorial plaque has been put in place in Grenfell St, Mousehole, recalling the date of Grenfell Tower Fire on 14th June 2017.
It honours the 72 people who died, including 18 of whom were children and also celebrates the bond that's grown between communities in Cornwall and Grenfell families. Hundreds found respite in Cornwall, many of them were hosted in Mousehole.
"Hundreds welcomed for respite by the sea"

A spokesperson from Cornwall Hugs Grenfell said: "All year long people do stop to take photos of our special 'Grenfell Street sign, unveiled by Grenfell children and our community in 2019. We overhear people remembering the horror of the fire on TV.
"They try to piece together the facts - often to tell younger ones what happened and why. But as the years go by, sometimes they struggle.
"Supporting all these individual acts of remembering feels important because Grenfell was an avoidable tragedy."
