Further surgery needed for dog found with throat ripped out
The RSPCA's Cornwall branch are raising funds for Lady

A dog, who arrived at the RSPCA's Cornwall branch with its throat ripped out, will need further surgery on one of her legs.
On October 4th, the team received a call from the local inspectorate team asking if they could take in a Jack Russell called Lady, who was at the vets in a critical condition.
After discovering her esophagus wound, the inspector took quick action and a local vet managed to help her in time.
Lady pulled through but she will need further surgery on her left hind limb, which the team in Cornwall have been raising donations for:
"We're no stranger to helping animals in a time of crisis, and Lady here was no exception.
"Lady cannot weight bare on her left hind limb. We do not know how long she's been struggling with this or how it came about.
"Our local vets, Penmellyn Vets, are investigating her leg, but it's likely that she will need to have her leg amputated or need cruciate surgery on both of her hind legs!
"As we are not funded by the RSPCA, all of Lady's veterinary bills will be paid for by us.
"We have over 100 animals under our care that all need our support and we, like every other rescue, need finical support from the public to keep helping these animals.
"If you can support us, even a small amount, this will go a long way to ensure that we can give every animal the second chance they deserve."
You can find their JustGiving page here. Any additional funds made from the fundraisers will go towards the branch's animal welfare work in Cornwall.
