Police on scene in underpass following night time assault in Truro
Officers say it happened at Furniss Island
A man has suffered an injury to his arm after reports of a night time assault in Truro.
Police are currently on the scene at the pedestrian underpass at Furniss Island.
Officers say the man's injury is not life-changing or life-threatening, and a woman also suffered a minor injury.
Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
A local police officer has tweeted to say it was an isolated incident.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are currently in attendance at Furniss Island at a pedestrian underpass following reports of an assault which took place overnight.
"A man is believed to have sustained an arm injury – not life-threatening or changing. A woman has sustained a minor injury.
"Officers remain on scene at the moment and enquiries are ongoing in relation to this matter."
