Storm Eunice: Funeral services postponed as crematorium roof is damaged

Officials say their thoughts are with those affected

Funeral services have had to be postponed at Penmount Crematorium in Truro after the roof was damaged by Storm Eunice.

The gales have been causing severe damage to buildings across the Duchy, including Sennen Lifeboat Station, Tolvaddon Fire Station and Bude Leisure Centre.

Officials have confirmed that it has had an impact on services at Penmount.

They say thoughts are with all those affected.

A Cornwall Council spokesperson said: "The roof of Penmount Crematorium in Truro has been damaged as a result of Storm Eunice.

"The services due to take place today have had to be postponed, and our thoughts are with those affected at this already difficult time."
