Fresh appeal following fatal crash on bridge over A30 in Cornwall

Police have issued a fresh appeal following a fatal crash on a bridge over the A30 in Cornwall.

The collision occurred on the B3274 near Belowda, Roche, on Thursday 10th June.

The crash, which involved a silver Toyota Yaris, a white Piaggio 125 scooter and a silver Mercedes ML270 and resulted in the scooter and the Mercedes being destroyed as a result of a fire which broke out, happened at about 6.30pm.

Sadly the motorcyclist, 52-year-old Paul Walters from Par, died at the scene.

Now officers are appealing for any other witnesses to come forward, including a driver who might have valuable information.

"Police are particularly interested to hear from the driver of a green Jeep-style vehicle, who was travelling away from the scene towards Roche, who may have valuable information for the investigation.

"A 22-year-old woman from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was released under investigation, pending further enquiries."
