Family of Cornwall man missing for 10 days say they will "not give up hope"

The family of a Cornwall man who has now been missing for over 10 days say they will not give up hope.

James Parsons, who is better known as Frank, Fran or Jimmy, was last seen at the Porthleven Food Festival on Friday 22nd April.

The 53-year-old has been married to his wife Vicky for 26 years and has two children.

His family say they still have no idea what happened but fear he may have fallen into the sea.

Searches have been carried out on land, sea and air since the dad-of-two went missing over 10 days ago.

Officers have appealed for residents in the Porthleven area to check their gardens, sheds, garages and any insecure outbuildings as searches continue for Frank.

Frank was last seen at midnight on Friday 22nd April in the main tent of the Porthleven Food Festival.

He was wearing a black hoodie and shorts. His description is a 6ft 53-year-old white male with light brown/grey curly hair balding on top.

Frank's niece, Alex, posted on social media: "I’m so sorry there is still no news about Frank Parsons. He is still missing. We are all absolutely devastated and hope he will be found soon.

"Please keep sharing my posts. We will not give up hope. Thank you everyone for your support."

Alex said: "We still have nothing. He has not been found yet in spite of the efforts of Devon & Cornwall Police and other authorities searching, land, sea and air.

"Please, if you have any information on his whereabouts or if you saw him on that night, please call the police on 101 or 999."

If you were in the harbour area at midnight until 2am and think you may of seen him please contact police.

Alex continued: "We are spending time together as a family to try and make sense of all of this. His wife and children and need some privacy at this time. Thank you for everything all your efforts in giving information I am so so so so grateful for you all."

Officers are urging anyone with information to call them on 999.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "James, also known as ‘Frank’, ‘Fran’ and ‘Jimmy’, was last seen in Porthleven on Friday 22nd April at around 7pm wearing shorts and a hoodie.

"He is described as a white male, around 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He has brown/grey wavy hair which is balding at the back and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing blue shorts and a black hoodie."

Anyone who sees James or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 223 24/4/22.
