Four vehicle crash closes stretch of A30 at Hayle

Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were called to the scene

Four vehicles have been involved in a crash on the A30 at Hayle.

Police say three cars and a van were caught in the collision at Loggans during the Thursday afternoon rush hour.

Emergency services were on the scene but currently no one is believed to be seriously injured.

The road was closed for around two hours.

At the time, a Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police, fire and ambulance were called at 4.50pm today (24th February) following reports of a multiple-vehicle collision on the A30 at Loggans, Hayle.

"Involves three cars and a van. Eastbound is closed at Loggans Moor."

"No serious injuries reported so far – ambulance crew is checking one woman at the moment."

There were reports of slow traffic in the area but it has now been confirmed that the road has reopened.

Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "A30 Eastbound re-opened, accident cleared between B3301 Carwin Rise (Loggans Moor roundabout, Hayle) and A3047 (Camborne West, Camborne)."
