Four treated by paramedics after bus crash in mid-Cornwall

The vehicle came off the road at Fraddon on Saturday night and ended up on its side

Four people have had to be treated by paramedics at the scene of a bus crash in a village in mid-Cornwall.

Emergency services rushed to Fraddon on Saturday night, including Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service.

Crews from St Dennis, St Columb and Bodmin attended the incident, where on casualty was still inside the vehicle and had to be helped out.

It happened on Chapel Road, which was closed until the early hours of Sunday morning.

The road was closed again on Sunday morning to allow the vehicle to be recovered, but has since reopened.

"On receipt of this initial call stating that a coach had crashed and left the road, appliances from St Columb and St Dennis and the rescue tender from Bodmin, as well as an officer, were mobilised.

"On arrival it was confirmed that the coach had left the road and one person was still within the vehicle.

"They were assessed by attending ambulance personnel and assisted from the vehicle by Fire Service personnel.

"A total of four persons in total were checked over by ambulance personnel.

"Devon & Cornwall Police, who were in attendance, closed the road".
