Fire breaks out in wall of block of flats in St Austell

No injuries have been reported following a fire that broke out in the wall of a block of flats in St Austell.
Firefighters were called to Albert Road on Monday afternoon, amid reports of smoke coming from the floorboards in the building.
Crews from the town, Mevagissey, Truro and Launceston got the call just after 2pm.
They were using a hosereel jet to douse the blaze, that is said to have affected three floors.
"At 1408hrs, a 999 call was received reporting smoke coming from the floorboards of a block of flats. Two fire appliances from St Austell and a fire appliance from Mevagissey was mobilised.
"Firefighters have discovered a fire in a wall in the block of 12 flats of three floors. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using a hosereel to extinguish the fire. A further fire crew has been requested and a fire appliance from Truro and support vehicles from St Austell and Launceston are also on scene.
"There will be further updates posted, as information becomes available."
