Flambards theme park 'retires' rides
It says a shortage of specialist parts is making maintenance 'increasingly challenging'
A popular Cornish theme park says it's retiring some of its thrill rides.
Flambards in Helston says the decision to lose Thunderbolt, Sky Swinger, Sky Force and the Hornet rollercoaster hasn't been made lightly - and it's changing its pricing to reflect that.
In a statement, the park says, "We understand that these rides have been favourites for many of our guests over the years, however the ongoing shortage of specialist parts has made the maintenance increasingly challenging for these rides, and the safety of our guests is and always will be our top priority.
"We recognise that the removal of these rides will affect the experience for our thrill-seeking visitors. In light of this, we have adjusted our pricing to reflect these changes and this will now be ÂŁ14.95 per visitor with those under 95cm remaining free of charge."
The park is going to close temporarily from Monday the 10th of June as it prepares for the summer, reopening on July the first.
