Fire crews were called out to the Roche area of Cornwall early this morning after a commercial shed caught fire.

The initial call was received by Fire Control at 2.39am on Saturday 31st January, with appliances from St Dennis, Bodmin, and St Austell fire stations attending the scene.

According to Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, firefighters discovered the shed, which contained machinery, well alight on arrival.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus worked to tackle the flames using hose reel jets.

St Dennis Community Fire Station reported that crews initially used hose reel jets before switching to a main jet once a water supply was established.

They continued to monitor the area for several hours after extinguishing the fire to ensure it was dampened down.
