Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service say the roof was "well alight"
Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at home near Helston overnight.
Teams were called to Carleen at around 10.06pm last night (Thursday 12 October).
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the roof of the property was "well alight" on arrival:
"Two pumping appliances from Helston and Tolvaddon were mobilised to reports of a fire within the attic of a residential property.
"On arrival, a request for two further appliances was made. These came from Tolvaddon and Hayle.
"A water carrier from Helston and an Operational Support Vehicle from Falmouth are also in attendance.
"The roof of a two storey domestic dwelling is well alight. Crews are using ten breathing apparatus, multiple jets and two 135 ladders to extinguish the fire."
The fire service say the blaze has now been extinguished and an investigation to determine the cause will be carried out later today.
