Firefighters from across Cornwall battle early morning house fire
Smoke was coming from the property and the roof was 'well alight'

Firefighters from across Cornwall have been called to tackle an early morning house fire.
The blaze broke out in St Stephens just after 4am on Monday morning (6th December) with alarms sounding and the smell of smoke coming from the property.
Crews from St Austell, St Dennis, Mevagissey, Newquay, Perranporth, Fowey, Launceston and Falmouth were all called.
The roof was found to be well alight at the scene on Rectory Road.
The teams say good progress has been made.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At 4.09am, critical control received multiple calls stating alarms were sounding and smell of smoke in a property. Crews from St Austell and St Dennis attended with a whole time flexi duty officer.
"On arrival assistance message was received 'make pumps four' and aerial ladder platform required. Further resources from Mevagissey and Newquay were sent.
"Further assistance message received 'make pumps six' roof well alight, appliances from Perranporth and Fowey were also mobilised along with further whole time flexi duty officers.
"Specialist appliances from Launceston and Falmouth are also in attendance.
"Good progress is been made and the incident is now sectorised."
Inrix Traffic and Travel has confirmed that Rectory Road is closed in both directions due to the building fire from A3058 Gwindra Road to Park Gwyn.
