Family of young driver who died after crash near Bodmin pay heartfelt tribute

They have described 21-year-old Talia as someone who "lit up a room"

The family of a young woman who died after a crash near Bodmin have paid tribute, saying she was someone who "lit up a room".

21-year-old Talia Phillips lost her life after her car and another collided on a back road near Washaway.

In a heartfelt tribute, Talia has been described as an animal lover who was loved by so many people.

The collision happened on the evening of Sunday 6th March, closing the B3266 for around 11 hours.

Devon and Cornwall Police are still appealing for witnesses, asking anyone who saw anything at around 7.30pm to come forward.

Talia's family said: "Talia lit up a room. She loved and was loved by so many people.

"She always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone.

"She didn’t judge anyone and accepted everyone for who they are.

"She loved and worked with animals who all instinctively loved and trusted her.

“She will be missed by her family and her boyfriend who all loved her so much".

Officers continue to make enquiries to establish and investigate the collision.
