Beaking and entering: Family of ducks waddles into back garden in Cornwall
Nigel from Chacewater opened the gate to let them out - then stopped traffic to help them back to the nearby river
A homeowner from Cornwall was astonished to find a family of ducks waddling through his fenced-off back garden.
The mum and 12 ducklings went right past Nigel's window in Chacewater as he was working.
He opened the gate to let them out - then stopped traffic to help them back to the nearby river.
The ducks were met with smiles from bemused drivers!
Cute alert...
"I was just working and could hear all these duck noises and then saw the cat shoot past the patio window. I went outside and couldn't quite believe it.
"The Carnon River runs across the back of the house but I have absolutely no idea how they got into my garden.
"I opened the gate, let them out and they walked across the road - the mother and twelve ducklings stopping the traffic as they crossed the road and into another garden and that's the last I saw of them.
"Never seen it before".
On stopping the traffic, Nigel added: "It was easy and because it was such an unusual sight, everyone was smiling".
