A Falmouth leisure centre is reopen to the public today.

The launch of the new centre, now named Pendennis Community Centre, comes after Falmouth's Ships and Castles was closed by Cornwall Council in April 2022 due to financial reasons.

The centre will offer various services including fitness classes and a community café area.

Pendennis Community Centre have said their long-term vision is still to rebuild and reopen a community swimming pool and leisure centre with a 25m swimming pool at its heart, at the site.

In a post on Facebook, the group said: "Please keep on supporting both projects everyone , as we cannot do it without you."
