Flats in Falmouth were evacuated in the early hours of this morning (Sat 14th Jan) after reports of a fire.

Fire crews, and appliances from Falmouth and Truro attended the scene on the high street shortly before 3am.

An additional appliance from Tolvaddon was mobilised, as well as a specialist appliance from Falmouth.

The Fire Service say the flats above the property were evacuated, and the fire put on.

All persons were accounted for.

At this point, there's been no confirmation of what caused the fire, or the extend of the damage.

The fire has been put out, and Cornwall's Fire and Rescue Service say all resources have now left the scene.
