A 10-year-old boy from Cornwall is walking every day of advent, to raise money for children to get toys at Christmas - but he has added his own special twist.

Bodi Clark, from Falmouth, is dressing up as a Lego man and will walk the length of a marathon (26.2 miles) over 24 days, to help children who aren't as lucky as him

As the countdown to Christmas begins, where many will be waking up looking forward to what their advent calendar holds, Bodi will instead be setting his alarm for 6.00am, donning his Lego man costume and heading out - whatever the weather.

All funds he raises will go towards The Toy Trust. You can support his fundraising campaign here.

Bodi came up with the idea to help children less fortunate than himself whilst writing his Christmas list: "There are so many children who aren’t as lucky as me, not just at Christmas, but all through the year.

"Lots won’t be worrying about what presents they have, but whether they are warm and have food to eat this winter.

"I’m not a big fan of walking, so thought that completing a marathon-length walk during December would be properly challenging, especially as I would be out in the worst of winter weather, often before school AND dressed as a Lego man!"

Bodi aims to complete the walk over the 24 days of advent (with the additional 2.2 miles being covered on weekends) culminating his challenge with a Christmas morning dip on Gyllyngvase Beach to soothe Lego man’s aching feet!

From walking up the highest point in Cornwall – Brown Willy, to heading to the furthest westerly point of Land’s End, Lego man will even be heading to London during his adventure.
