Emergency repairs on Newquay Line cancels services
The route won't be operational until at least December 6th

If you're hoping to travel on the Newquay line this week - Network Rail's urging passengers it'll be closed until at least next Friday (December 6).
It's because of emergency repairs - after engineers discovered a lot of stones have shifted supporting the track near St Blazey.
Rail replacement buses are in operation - bosses have apologised for the disruption.
In a statement, we're told that a significant amount of ballast had become displaced and as a result repairs must be carried out before trains can run again.
The line is currently shut while engineers lay new track into Newquay station as part of the Mid Cornwall Metro project.

It was originally set to reopen tomorrow (1 December) - but what we are told is that these current issues aren't related to other, scheduled, engineering work.
Simon Gillibrand, Network Rail’s head of metro railway operations, said: “We’re sorry for the disruption as a result of the emergency repair work taking place on the Newquay line.
“Safety is our top priority and we need to close the line while these repairs are carried out to ensure that everyone remains safe while travelling. We will do all we can to reopen the line as soon as possible.
“I’d like to thank passengers for their patience while we carry out these vital repairs.”
