Dashcam appeal after driver goes wrong way along the A30 in Devon

It happened not far over the Cornish border

Devon and Cornwall Police have issued an appeal after a driver went the wrong way along the A30.

It happened over the Cornish border, between Sourton and Okehampton, on Tuesday night.

A 69-year-old woman was arrested in suspicion of drink driving and has been released under investigation.

Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of what happened to get in touch.

"Police are appealing for dashcam footage of a motorist driving the wrong way along the A30 near Okehampton yesterday evening, Tuesday 16 March.

"The incident occurred at around 9pm in the Exeter/Eastbound carriageway between Sourton and Okehampton.

"A 69-year-old woman from Okehampton was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and her uninsured vehicle was seized. She was released under investigation pending further enquiries. "
