Driver comes forward following police appeal over crash near Redruth

Police have confirmed that a driver has now come forward following a crash near Redruth.

A motorbike and a car were involved in a collision on Wilson Way in Pool on Sunday afternoon.

The biker suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Officers say the car did not stop and an appeal was launched.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police.

"Police were called to reports of the road traffic collision involving a silver Chrysler car and a motorbike on Wilson Way, Pool, near Redruth at around 5.30pm, on Sunday 18 July.

"The male rider of the motorbike sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"The driver of the car did not stop at the scene but has since come forward, following a police appeal.

"The road was closed in both directions for a time whilst the scene was examined.

"Officers would like to thank the public for their patience and assistance."
