Dogs on beaches ban lifted in Cornwall
Dogs and their owners will be allowed onto the Duchy's beaches all day long.
Dogs can return to beaches all day long where they are allowed after restrictions ended for another year.
A number of beaches in Cornwall have restrictions placed on when dogs are allowed to visit set using Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) by Cornwall Council.
While many beaches only have restrictions running from July 1 to August 31 those which have Blue Flag status or a Seaside Award have restrictions from May 15 to September 30.
The restrictions do not allow dogs to be taken to those beaches between 10am and 6pm each day.
Cornwall Council reissued all the PSPOs for beaches this year following a consultation.
The new orders saw the dates and times that restrictions are in place harmonised to make it easier for visitors and residents to understand. Previously different beaches had different dates and times for when restrictions applied.
