A dog has been saved by firefighters after getting stuck in a hole in Cornwall.

A crew from Wadebridge rescued Lulu the Sprocker Spaniel yesterday (Sunday 18 June) near a golf club in Rock.

The team said: "A crew were mobilised at 12.02pm to an animal rescue near St Enodoc Golf Club in Rock.

"On arrival, Lulu the Sprocker Spaniel was located approximately three metres into a rabbit hole. The crew used a thermal imaging camera and small tools to release her unharmed.

"She was unharmed."

Cornwall Fire and Rescue said: "One appliance from Wadebridge responded to this incident.

"On arrival firefighters discovered a dog which was trapped down a hole.

"Small tools were used to successfully rescue the dog."
