Get set to see the big reveal... as a house in Cornwall is completely transformed on DIY SOS.

Nick Knowles and his crew came to Carbis Bay, near St Ives, last year.

They were joined by an army of Cornish volunteers who worked their magic on Lynn and Stephen Smedley's bungalow.

The couple have fostered 103 children and now care for their three grandchildren, following their daughter Carrie's tragic death.

Dozens of local companies, tradespeople and volunteers helped out with the project and star Nick Knowles described the community spirit in the Duchy as "absolutely amazing".

Speaking to us at the time of the build, Nick said:

"That is 103 children in this community who have been given a start by this couple, who were prepared to take them into their home and give them a new start when they have been through a lot of difficulty.

"So it seems kind of circular and appropriate, and the way the world should work, that when they get into difficulty themselves that the community has said well you've done that for us so we'll come out and build for you.

"Predominately the workforce has come from around Cornwall and it's been just fantastic, every day we've got as many people as we need, every time we've needed something at short notice somebody in the county has stepped up and helped, it's just been a fantastic vibe."
