An desperate appeal has gone out from heartbroken owners to try and find a missing puppy in south east Cornwall.

The little eight-month-old Dachshund, called Daisy, ran out of a back garden in Saltash last Thursday.

It is thought that someone may have picked her up on the A38, from the Saltash Tunnel up to the Carkeel roundabout.

Her owners say they had a phone call from a gentleman who said he saw cars stopping at around 7.30pm on Friday evening and trying to catch something black and small.

"This was close to where she went missing. So we now think someone has picked her up.

"We are heartbroken and desperate."

Kate Brown, owner

Kate says a ÂŁ5,000 reward is being offered for Daisy's safe return.
