Cyclist sustains serious life threatening injuries in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Carnon Downs.

It happened at around 10.03am yesterday morning (Saturday 24 June) on Forth Coth at the junction with Tregye Road.

Officers say a white Landrover Discovery collided with a pedal cyclist. As a result the cyclist, a male in his 50's from the local area, sustained serious life threatening injuries. The vehicle occupants were unharmed and stopped at the scene.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the crash to investigate and establish how the it occurred. The road was closed whilst this investigation took place.

Witnesses are requested to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 with information quoting log number 353 24 June 2023.

Police would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have Dashcam footage of the incident.
