Critical Minerals Strategy welcomed by Cornish Lithium

Cornish Lithium says the UK Government’s new Critical Minerals Strategy is a game-changer for the future of British manufacturing.

The policy sets an ambitious national target for domestic lithium extraction - something the company has pushed for, calling it vital to securing the country’s industrial future.

There’s up to £50 million in new funding behind the strategy, with a goal to produce at least fifty thousand tonnes of lithium each year by 2035.

Cornish Lithium says the move could unlock investment and create high-quality jobs in Cornwall as the UK races to build a resilient supply chain for battery-grade lithium.
