A Tesco store in St Ives remains open following an outbreak of coronavirus among its staff members.

Bosses at the supermarket giant confirmed that a 'small number of colleagues' at the branch in Carbis Bay tested positive for covid-19 and that it is following Government guidance and taking the relevant precautions.

People who have been in close contact with those infected have been informed.

'Extensive measures' are said to have been put in place across all of its stores to help keep everyone safe. This includes protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular cleaning.

In a statement, it says that the safety of its colleagues, customers and suppliers remains its number one priority.
