Tributes from across Devon and Cornwall after death of Prince Philip

Emergency services, charities and organisations across Cornwall have posted tributes, after the death of Prince Philip.

The Queen announced the news on Friday morning (9th April), saying her "beloved husband" passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle.

The Duke of Edinburgh was 99-years-old.

His Royal Highness had a long-standing connection to the Duchy and Devon.

The Duke's service in the Royal Navy began in Dartmouth, he was patron of the RNLI and had visited the Royal Cornwall Show several times. In a tweet, they said: "His great service to the nation will long be remembered".
