Cornwall records three Covid-19 related deaths in a week and another rise in cases
Latest figures show another 344 people in the Duchy tested positive for coronavirus in the 24 hours to Thursday (22nd July)

The number of coronavirus cases in Cornwall increased by 344 in the last 24 hours, official figures show - and one more death was recorded.
A total of 21,872 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in Cornwall when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on July 22nd (Thursday), up from 21,528 on Wednesday.
The rate of infection in Cornwall now stands at 3,825 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 8,682.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 39,315 over the period, to 5,602,321.
There was also one more coronavirus death recorded in the latest 24-hour period in Cornwall.
The dashboard shows 476 people had died in the area by July 22nd (Thursday) - up from 475 on Wednesday.
It means there have been three deaths in the past week, which is the same as the previous week.
They were among 6,837 deaths recorded across the South West.
The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in Cornwall.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.
The figures also show that more than two-thirds of people in Cornwall have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
The latest figures show 341,932 people had received both jabs by July 21 (Wednesday) – 69% of those aged 18 and over.
As of today (July 22), this proportion is based on mid-2020 population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
Previously, it had been based on the number of people on the National Immunisation Management Service database.
Across England, 69% of people aged 18 and above had received a second dose of the jab.
