The Big Issue has announced its Top 100 Changemakers, highlighting individuals chosen by readers for their contributions to society and their communities.

Included in this year's list is Rhys Wynne-Jones, a 34-year-old from Penzance, known for his viral nightlife piano performances at a local church.

Wynne-Jones became famous as Penzance's Mystery Nightchurch Pianist in 2024 and has utilized this fame to amass over £26,000 for charities supporting homelessness and mental health.

The list's oldest Changemaker is 91-year-old Angela Glendenning from Stoke-on-Trent, a skydiving enthusiast, while the youngest is 15-year-old busker and fundraiser Scarlett Chapman from Brighton.

Big Issue ambassador Chris Packham led the selection of this year's Environment and Climate Changemakers, particularly noting the efforts of Feargal Sharkey and Dale Vince.

Russell Blackman, Managing Director of the Big Issue, expressed the importance of the list, stating: "Our annual Changemakers list is a celebration of rising up to make marginalised voices heard, or to bring change to their communities and society."

Eoghan O'Lionaird, Chief Executive of Wates Group, partners on the initiative, emphasized its alignment with Wates and Big Issue's mission to tackle inequality and build thriving communities through meaningful work.
