Cornwall will keep its Covid marshals after the date for lifting most lockdown restrictions.

The council has confirmed that they will be used beyond the 21st June because we are expecting a busy summer.

Officials say it is to support residents, visitors and businesses to respect the rules and stay safe.

"We are expecting a busy summer so we are planning to continue to use marshals beyond 21st June.

"We want to continue to support residents, visitors and businesses to respect any public health restrictions that may remain in place, protect themselves and each other and enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer in a safe and responsible way."
