The Cornish Pirates have confirmed captain John Stevens is out for the rest of the season.

On social media, the Pirates announced: "The Cornish Pirates can confirm that Club Captain John Stevens suffered a significant knee injury against Nottingham on the opening night of the Championship Rugby season.

"He will undergo surgery to repair the Medical Collateral and Anterior Cruciate Ligaments in due course, before starting his rehab with the club which is unfortunately likely to rule him out of the rest of the 24/25 campaign.
