Police concerned for the welfare of a girl in Penzance

She was spotted this morning walking with no shoes and wet through

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 16-year-old girl who was seen in Penzance.

She was spotted this morning (10th January) at around 07:50 walking south on the B3311 at Gulval at the junction with Polmennor Road (Gear Hill) at the junction with Green Lane Hill.

She is described as white, 16 years-old, slim build with long dark hair wearing a black hoody and no shoes.

Officers have reported that the girl said she fell into a river and lost her bag and wellies somewhere near Treveylor.

The teenager was also wet through, hair frozen and blue in the face.

Police wish to identify and locate her.
