A crew had to be saved from a sunken fishing boat under the Rumps in north Cornwall.

The RNLI and Padstow Coastguard were called to reports of a sinking fishing boat yesterday afternoon (2nd March).

No injuries have been reported.

The crew could be seen on the rocks under The Rumps looking on to their sinking vessel.

The Rumps is a twin-headland rock at the north-east corner of Pentire Head in north Cornwall.

An eyewitness said: "Poor guys, local boat and lucky escape."
