11-year-old boy taken to hospital after being caught in collision with car near Redruth
There were traffic problems in the area
An 11-year-old boy has been caught in a collision with a car in Cornwall.
Police were called to Loscombe Road, Four Lanes, on Tuesday afternoon (30th November).
Officers say the child was taken to Treliske Hospital as a precaution.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at around 3:20pm with reports of a collision involving a 11-year-old boy, having taken place on Loscombe Road, Redruth.
"The boy has been taken to Treliske Hospital as a precaution. Localised closures may still be in place as officers complete scene work."
At the time the collision caused traffic problems in the area.
At the time Inrix Traffic and Travel said: "Reports of slow traffic due to accident, a car and a pedestrian involved on B3297 both ways near Victoria Inn."
It has now been confirmed that the road had cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
