Child injured after falling from rocks in Towan Beach
The incident happened yesterday.
A child has sustained serious injuries after falling from rocks at Towan Beach.
It is believed they are not life-threatening.
A number of the emergency services attended the scene yesterday afternoon.
The beach was closed off.
Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"Police were called at 1.35pm on Tuesday 25 October to Towan Beach, Newquay, following reports that a child had fallen and become injured.
RNLI, Coastguard, Police, Ambulance and Air Ambulance have all attended the scene.
A closure was put on the beach while emergency services were on the scene assisting.
The boy was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening."
