Prince Charles and Camilla meet school children on the Isles of Scilly
The royals are currently on a three-day visit to Cornwall and Devon
Princes Charles and Camilla have met school children on the Isles of Scilly as part of their three-day visit to Cornwall and Devon.
On Monday the royal couple visited Exeter Cathedral to hear about restoration work at the site.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also met community groups including Devon Wildlife Trust, Exeter City Community Trust and the Met Office, which works with the cathedral and Exeter University on climate change research.
The visit was also celebrate the city’s designation as a Unesco City of Literature and launch the Royal College of Nursing’s Prince of Wales Nursing Cadet Scheme in England.
Later that evening they both attended a reception at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery in Lostwithiel.
The pair met with community groups and farmers who have benefitted from the Prince's Countryside Fund during the pandemic and over recent years.
As part of the Fund's 10th anniversary, Prince Charles also officially launched the Confident Rural Communities Network.
Today (Tuesday 20th July) Charles and Camilla arrived on the Isles of Scilly where they visited the Five Islands Academy School on St Mary's in a Go-EV Car Share vehicle, one of a fleet recently installed on the island to encourage sustainable travel.
On Bryher their Royal Highnesses visit Island Fish, who catch and sell locally caught lobster, crab, wet fish and shellfish to the Scillies.
