Police release CCTV following serious assault in Penzance town centre

Police have released CCTV footage of a group of men they want to speak to following an assault in Penzance town centre.

A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries to his face on Market Jew Street when it happened during the early hours on the 12th of December last year.

Officers are trying to work out what happened and have now issued an image of a group of men they want to speak to as potential witnesses.

They believe they may be able to help with the investigation.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating reports of an incident in Penzance have released an image of a number of potential witnesses who may be able to assist the investigation.

"The incident is reported to have taken place on Market Jew Street at around 2.30am on Sunday 12 December.

"The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained serious facial injuries requiring treatment.

"Officers have been carrying out enquiries in efforts to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.

"Officers are keen to speak to any of the men pictured, as potential witnesses, as it’s thought they may be able to assist with the investigation. "
