Cause of serious fire in Camborne being treated as suspicious

Police have confirmed the fire is being treated as suspicious and the cause is being investigated.

Officers were called to reports of a shed on fire in Cranberry Road, Camborne at around 8.40am this morning Tuesday 7th September.

The fire service also attended the incident that was initially believed to have started after some fireworks exploded.

No one was harmed in the explosion and teachers at the nearby Camborne Science and International Academy confirmed the school had reopened and all students were safe.

Emergency services are still on the scene and investigations into the cause are continuing.
