Police appeal after biker suffers potentially life-threatening injuries in crash near Camelford
They had to be airlifted to hospital on Saturday afternoon
A police appeal has gone out after a biker was left with potentially life-threatening injuries following a crash near Camelford.
A car and a motorbike were involved in the collision at Broadview on Saturday afternoon.
The air ambulance was called to the scene and the biker was airlifted to hospital with life-changing, and possible life-threatening, injuries.
The road was closed for 10 hours while investigations were carried out and anyone with dashcam footage or who saw what happened is asked to get in touch.
"Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious collision between a car and a motorcycle on the B3266 at Broadview, Camelford, on Saturday 24th April.
"The collision occurred at around 4.40pm and involved a Suzuki GSX 1400 motorcycle and a Ford C-Max car.
"The motorcyclist was flown to Derriford Hospital by the Cornwall Air Ambulance with life-changing, possibly life-threatening, injuries.
"Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended with a Forensic Collision Investigator and a Scene of Crime Officer and the road was closed for around 10 hours while an investigation took place.
"Police would like to thank the public for their patience."
