Cornwall's Air Ambulance called to 13 incidents over the bank holiday

They spanned the whole of the Duchy, from Penzance to Bude and Truro to Liskeard

The Cornwall Air Ambulance was called out to 13 incidents over the bank holiday weekend, spanning the whole of the Duchy.

The shouts on Saturday, Sunday and Monday ranged from Penzance to Bude and Redruth to Saltash.

They included two bikers involved in crashes and four people who suffered cardiac arrests.

The helicopter also made three trips to Derriford Hospital, to ensure critically unwell patients received specialist care.

Posting on social media, the team said their thoughts are with everyone involved.

Cornwall Air Ambulance said: "Over the bank holiday weekend your crew were tasked to 13 incidents spanning right across the county including Penzance, Truro, Newquay, Bude, Bodmin, Redruth, Liskeard, St Austell, Helston, Saltash and Wadebridge.

"Two of these missions were to motorcyclists involved in road traffic collisions.

"A further four were in response to patients suffering a cardiac arrest.

"The helicopter made three trips to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for critically unwell patients to receive specialist care.

"Our thoughts are with everyone involved in these incidents".
