Officers say they broke in with a crowbar and stole cigarettes

Three men wearing all black, hoods and face coverings have reportedly burgled a shop in Wadebridge in the middle of the night.

Police say it happened at the Spar on The Platt in the early hours of Monday morning, just after 1am.

It is believed that they broke in with a crowbar and stole cigarettes before making off down an alleyway.

Anyone with CCTV or who saw anything suspicious in the area is being asked to contact officers.

"Police are investigating a burglary at Spar, The Platt, Wadebridge, at around 1.20am this morning, Monday 29th March.

"Three people, believed to be men, wearing black with hoods and face coverings, broke-in, reportedly using a crowbar, and stole cigarettes before making off. They arrived and left via the alleyway.

"Any witnesses, anyone with CCTV, or anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area prior to the incident, is asked to contact police on 101 or visemail at 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference, CR/024311/21."
