Mum and children escape unhurt after brick is thrown from A30 bridge and onto car

A mum and two children have escaped uninjured after a brick was thrown from a bridge and onto a car in Cornwall.

Police say an object was thrown from the Old Farmers Bridge over the A30 at Scorrier, near Redruth.

The sunroof of the vehicle, which had a woman and two children inside was smashed but luckily no one was hurt.

It happened on the westbound carriageway of the road at around 3.15pm on Friday 4th December.

Officers say the incident could have resulted in serious injury and anyone who saw what happened in being urged to come forward.

"The severity of these actions cannot be over-emphasised. They could have resulted in serious injury or the driver losing control of the vehicle.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this offence or saw anyone on the bridge at the time.”
