Teenage boys in St Austell wear skirts to school in 'protest' over uniform policy
They wanted to be able to wear shorts during the heatwave
A group of teenage boys in St Austell have been wearing skirts to school for the last week of term, in a bid to try and overturn the uniform policy.
During the heatwave 15-year-old Adrian and his mates, who go to Poltair School, were too hot in their school trousers.
But as per the current uniform policy, they were not allowed to wear shorts.
So instead the group decided to wear skirts to school, as those are allowed, as part of a campaign to try and get the policy changed.
Adrian's mum, Donna Price, told us that the school is now looking at changing the rules from September onwards, allowing both boys and girls to wear shorts.
She said: "He's received quite a lot of support, and rightfully so.
"They are in motion for changing it for September, it has to go through all the right channels, like the governors etc, so they can't do anything until September but I can appreciate that.

Adrian told us where the idea came from: "Me and a group of mates were all getting too hot and bothered, it was really agitating and were fidgeting because of how how we were, we weren't paying attention to our lessons.
"When we got into school so people were looking at us weirdly, but some people walked past and were clapping.
"A load of people were cheering us on and stuff, and load more boys have joined in as the week's gone on.
"I think that some girls aren't that conformable in skirts, which makes sense, so I think that girls and boys should both be allowed to wear shorts."

And on the last day of term Adrian finally got to wear shorts, as it's non-uniform day.
We have asked Poltair School for a statement and are waiting to hear back.
